Frequently Asked Questions

Question:
My Bottle washer descaling icon/reminder is displaying on the screen and i've already descaled my machine.

Answer:
How to Reset the Descale Reminder Icon on Your Bottle Washer Pro

If your descale reminder icon is still showing on the screen after you've already descaled your machine, don’t worry this is expected behavior until the reminder is manually cleared.

Why It Appears:
The maintenance/descale reminder is automatically triggered after every 20 wash cycles to help keep your Bottle Washer Pro running smoothly.

How to Reset the Reminder:
Once you’ve descaled the machine and the heating plate is clean:

  1. Power on the machine
  2. Press and hold the “Wash Mode” button for 5 seconds.
  3. The descale icon will disappear from the screen, confirming that the reminder has been cleared.

This process resets the internal cycle counter and starts tracking for the next 20 washes.

Regular Maintenance Tip:
Descale using Baby Brezza descaling tablets or a vinegar solution to prevent mineral buildup and maintain performance.

Answer

How to Set Up Your Bottle Washer Pro for Storage

If you're planning to store your Bottle Washer Pro for an extended period, it's important to properly clean and prepare the unit to ensure it stays in great condition and is ready for use when you need it again. While there are no official storage instructions, we recommend the following best practices:

Step-by-Step Storage Preparation

1. Clean the Machine and Its Components

  • Wipe down the exterior of the machine with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust or residue.
  • Remove and clean all removable parts, including bottle racks, jets, and other components.
  • Wash the clean and dirty water tanks thoroughly with warm soapy water and rinse well.
  • Let all parts air dry completely to prevent mold or mildew growth.

2. Drain the Sump

  • To remove any water from the internal sump:
  • Hold down the "Wash" and "Sterilize/Dry" buttons simultaneously for 7 seconds.
  • This will activate the discharge pump and drain any remaining water from the machine.

3. Check and Clean the Filter

  • Remove the interior filter and rinse it thoroughly.
  • Make sure it's completely dry before placing it back or storing it separately.

Recommended Storage Conditions

  • Store the unit in a cool, dry, and dark location, away from direct sunlight or areas with high humidity.
  • If you still have the original packaging/box, it’s ideal to store the machine in it for added protection.
  • If not, we recommend covering the unit with a dust cloth or soft towel to prevent dust accumulation.

Re-Using the Machine After Storage

When you're ready to use your Bottle Washer Pro again:

  • Reassemble any parts if necessary.
  • Fill the clean water tank and run a full cycle without any bottles to clean, prep, and prime the system.
  • Once complete, your machine is ready for regular use again!

Following these steps ensures your Bottle Washer Pro stays in great shape and works properly when you take it out of storage. For further help, feel free to contact our Customer Care team.

Answer
If you're encountering issues with the digital display/LCD on your Baby Brezza Bottle Washer, follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem:

  • Ensure the machine is plugged in and receiving power. Listen for an auditory tone to confirm power flow. If you hear the tone, power is reaching the unit.

Question
What do I do if I get an error code on the Bottle Washer?

Answer
All troubleshooting should begin with unplugging the machine and allowing 15 minutes to pass. Please see a breakdown of the error codes below.

  • E1: If you receive this error, please unplug the machine and allow 15 minutes for the machine to remain unplugged. You can then plug in your machine and reattempt. If the issue persists, please contact our Customer Care team.
  • E4: This error means that there was an issue with the detection of the magnet with the reed switch. To troubleshoot this error, please make sure that your machine is descaled and clean so that the floating magnet is free to move. Once cleaned, make sure that the the waste water tank is empty, and the clean water tank is slightly above the fill line and restart your machine. If you receive any other error, please follow the recommendation for the error received.  If the issue persists, please contact our customer care team.
  • E5: This error means that there is water remaining in the sump. To troubleshoot this error, you need to empty all the water in the sump. You can do this by holding down the wash mode & Sterilize Dry button for approximately 7 seconds. This will activate the discharge pump (DC will display on the LCD panel) and remove any water from the waste tank.
  • E8: If you receive this error, it means the discharge pump was on for more than 30 seconds. Please power cycle the machine. Upon turning the machine back on, if you receive any other error, please follow the instructions to clear that error out.
  • H2o: This error can mean two things.
    • One: Not enough water is available to complete the sterilization cycle. To troubleshoot, you can add more water to the clean water tank and restart the sterilization cycle.
    • Two: There is mineral build up on the heating plate and it needs to be descaled to remove any buildup.

Any other error codes on your Bottle Washer, please contact Baby Brezza Customer Care at 1-800-667-8184 or babybrezza.ca/contact-us so we can understand which error message has occurred and help you troubleshoot it.

Question
Why Washing Bottles in the Baby Brezza Bottle Washer Pro is different & better than a Dishwasher.

Answer
Washing bottles, pump parts and accessories in the Baby Brezza Bottle Washer is very different (and better) than using a dishwasher. Here’s why:

  1. Cleans more effectively with 20 direct spray jets vs two spray arms – the Bottle Washer has 20 high-pressure direct spray jets that blast bottles, pump parts and accessories with water to wash and rinse. Most dishwashers only have 1 or 2 spray arms that rotate and don’t directly spray water on items inside. As a result, the Bottle Washer ensures that even the tiny crevices are cleaned in your baby products.
  2. Has specific racks for optimal cleaning – the Bottle Washer’s racks are designed to accommodate baby bottles, nipples, even vent tubes to ensure they are thoroughly washed, rinsed, sterilized and dried
  3. Sterilizes vs dishwashers that don’t – the Bottle Washer offers a sterilization cycle which uses natural steam to kill 99.9% of germs. Dishwashers do not sterilize – they only sanitize which uses hot water up to 165º F which doesn’t kill 99.9% of germs
  4. Takes less time – the Bottle Washer washes, sterilizes and dries in 88 minutes. Most dishwashers take between 2 and 5 hours to wash and dry and even longer if you include sanitizing. And if you’re in a rush, you can select from 6 settings, five of which take less time including Wash Only, Dry Only, Wash & Dry, Sterilize & Dry, or Sterilize Only.
  5. Uses 80% less water than a dishwasher - The Bottle Washer Pro uses less than 1 gallon of water for a wash-sterilize cycle whereas a typical high-efficiency dishwasher uses 4 gallons of water and a standard dishwasher uses 6 gallons of water for the same cycle.
  6. No waiting for your dishwasher to fill up
  7. No mixing with food residue or heavy detergents that are common in household dishwashers.

Question
Why do I get white residue or haze on my bottles after using?

Answer
We are sorry to hear you are experiencing white residue or a haze on your bottles after washing. Below we have listed some possible reasons for this occurrence and some solutions.

  • Excessive Detergent: The white residue may be the result of using too much detergent in the wash cycle. We recommend using only 1 Baby Brezza detergent tablet, as excessive soap can leave behind a residue.
  • Hard Water Deposits: Another possible cause of the white residue is hard water deposits. Hard water contains minerals that can accumulate on the bottles and leave behind a white film. Consider using distilled water if you are in an area with high mineral content in your water.

Question
Where do I place my bottles (Dr Brown's, Como Tomo, Advent etc) on the bottle washer pro.

Answer
Please watch the video below to see how you can place your items on our Bottle Washer Pro.

Question
How do I descale my bottle washer pro.

Answer

Question
How do I change the hepa filter on my bottle washer pro.

Answer

Question
How long are the Bottle Washer cycles?

Answer
The Bottle Washer offers 6 different modes across washing, rinsing, sterilizing and drying. Here are the times for each cycle:

Wash Cycle = 10-minute wash cycle and 9 minutes of rinsing (i.e. three 3-minute rinse cycles)
Sterilize Cycle = 9-minute sterilize cycle
Dry Cycle = 60-minute dry cycle
If you select Wash-Sterilizer-Dry, the total cycle will take 88 minutes.
If you select Wash-Dry, the total cycle will be 79 minutes.

Question
Why can’t I use my own dishwasher detergent?

Answer
The Bottle Washer only works with Baby Brezza Detergent Tablets to ensure the machine works properly. The reason is that the bottle washer only needs a tiny amount of detergent – using more detergent than this will cause too much foaming during the wash cycle and leave a detergent residue on the products inside. This amount is so tiny that it’s difficult to measure from a traditional household dishwasher powder or liquid detergent package. Additionally, traditional household dishwasher pods have way too much detergent.

Question
What bottles fit in the Bottle Washer?

Answer
The Bottle Washer fits all major brands and sizes of bottles. Please make sure to place the bottles upside down on the bottom rack above the spray jets.

Question
Why doesn’t the Bottle Washer hold more bottles?

Answer
The Bottle Washer holds 4 bottles because this was the most bottles that we could fit inside so the machine fits on your counter. Keep in mind that the Bottle Washer is self-contained and doesn’t need to be hooked up to a sink with any plumbing or hoses. It contains a pump, a clean water tank and dirty water tank that take up space. However, if you need to clean more than 4 bottles per day, you can run the Bottle Washer more than once a day.
